The Twenty Seven Pro Theme for Genesis

Brian Gardner has released a sleek new WordPress theme called the Twenty Seven Pro Theme. He designed it as a designed a minimalist theme for lifestyle and food bloggers.

The Twenty Seven Pro theme includes:

The Twenty Seven Pro Theme is free, but requires the premium  Genesis Framework for WordPress.

It looks sharp on my Samsung S7 Edge as well as on a full computer screen. There aren’t any frills to it, but it has a good lean feel that doesn’t weigh you down with a lot of clutter.

Hate selling? Do this instead!

I used to hate selling.

Take a vacuum cleaner. Sell it to someone. How? I’m thinking, who wants a vacuum cleaner? Nobody likes to vacuum, so no one is going to want to buy a vacuum cleaner. At least I don’t.

So in that state of mind, I’m not thinking which vacuum cleaner cleans my floor the best and the fastest. I’m wondering how in the world can I get another human being to want to spend their money so they can push a vacuum around their living room, a job I myself want to avoid like the plague.

That makes persuading someone to pull their wallet out and give me money for a piece of metal and plastic that you can only push back and forth across the floor extremely difficult.

Selling under these circumstances is torture, to say the least.

Now take ice cream. I love ice cream. It’s creamy. It’s refreshing. It comes in an endless array of flavors. You can put all kinds of toppings on it, like that chocolate shell that hardens, or M&Ms, peanut brittle, Reese’s Pieces, caramel, or you name it. You can get it in a cone or in a cup…or you can put it on top of a warmed up brownie and let a spoonful melt on your tongue…

You’ll take some? Wait, I haven’t started selling yet.

Or maybe I have and didn’t notice it.

We forget that selling is just a transference of feeling. If the have that feeling, the words will flow with the emotional force of pure desire. You feel it and soon your audience feels it.

And that sells, doesn’t it?

You’ve no doubt heard that before, but the difference is that people will tell you to take a piece of paper and write down the benefits of your product. The problem with that is that it becomes an intellectual exercise. My feeling don’t kick in and the words lie lifeless on the paper when I try that.

Instead of searching for the right words, I prefer to sit and get excited  – really excited  – about a particular product or service, and then sit down and let those feelings come to life in the form of words on the page. Like the ice cream, get all the senses involved, mix in some positive emotions, bring it to a boil and pour it over the page.

Webinars are profitable.  Here are seven ways you can start profiting from webinars today.

Webinars are , of course, simply screen capture broadcasts with audio. So people can see your computer screen in real time and hear you describing what you are doing. The nifty thing about webinars is that they allow you create the kind of atmosphere where products sell best, fastest and most easily.

Webinars allow your attendees to have immediate access to you. Wouldn’t you love to shout out a question in the middle of some presentation without being kicked out of the room? With webinars, you have that immediacy that people crave. What To Do If Your are Ever Insulted on a Webinar

Recently I was on a question and answer webinar about webinars where a participant asked what he should do if someone insulted him while he was conducting a webinar.

The way you respond to an insult on a webinar will determine the success or failure of your webinar as well as your business.


Seriously, this is an important moment.

It’s important that you don’t lose sight of why you are giving a webinar in the first place. You want to get people to know, like, trust you…and take action on what you are telling them, right?

Maybe even buy what you’re selling?

So you get on a webinar, totally pumped about your topic, and up pops a message in the chat window about how your mother wears army boots.

You pause, enraged. “My mother never wore ARMY BOOTS, you idiot!”, you scream into the microphone. You go on for about 5 minutes about how anybody how would say such a thing must be a total idiot and described in lurid detail about how you will tear that person limb from limb until they fit in a tuna can if you should ever meet on the street somewhere.

And then you remember….Your mother did wear army boots till last year when she retired from the military.

And another realization comes over you.

No one know anything about why you went bezerkowitz except you possibly the competitor that insulted you.

You just made a complete fool out of yourself for no good reason.

Well, if it happens, get over it, and get back on another webinar as quickly as possible.
